So after 2 weeks and a can of tuna later, I finally got him! It seemed surreal and while I was trying not to stress out over this kitty making my house his house, I felt very relieved when I caught him. I may have even danced in my living room! One call to the animal control and they came and grabbed him.
He wasn't a big fan of the cage
Little did I know that the animal control van would bring out 4 of my neighbors to wonder what was going on. I felt embarrassed and wanted them to know that I was catching the stray and not going after their pets! The ladies were very thankful that I had caught that cat and told me not to worry.
As I sat waiting for the animal control van, I thought, maybe once this kitty is neutered I would adopt him and call him Larry (the name was a working name). But then reality kicked in and I reminded myself that I do not want to own a pet for a number of reasons. My summer project is completed and the victory is mine. Now it is time to conquer the back patio aka the kitty domain, and clean it very well and then disinfect myself.
Good luck Larry whether it be in life or, let's be honest, death
